January 20, 22, 25 and 27, 6:30pm: CHIP is an acronym for the Coronary Health Improvement Project. The Clairemont SDA Church is hosting its second CHIP program early next year (2009). Before the kick-off, there will be FREE information sessions to learn more about what CHIP can offer you. Learn ways to effectively lower your blood sugar, lower you cholesterol, improve your blood pressure and your overall health. Pick the information session date that works best for you. Through the networking, communication, and organization provided by GYC, young people are encouraged to experience revival and reformation and to work hand in hand with the Seventh-day Adventist church in taking the Three Angels' Messages to the world in this generation.

Novebmer 14-15: Peter Gregory from Iona Missions will be speaking at the Clairemont SDA Church. The focus will be on the importance of one-on-one Bible study and personal evangelism. The theme will be "Jesus' Method Alone." There will be three sessions: (Friday night, 7:00pm) Feed My Sheep: How do we become witnesses for Jesus? We explore how Jesus called the apostle Peter to fish, Peter's weaknesses and the love of Jesus. (Saturday morning, 10:45am) Jesus' Method Alone: How to witness, and how to love. We will discuss seeing the need for soul-winning, how to speak to the mind and how to speak to the heart. (Saturday afternoon, 2:00pm) Antioch Project: When to do public evangelism; how to do ground work, the actual evangelism and follow-up.
